The Green Market plant swap with lots of interesting activities for florists and plant lovers will take place at the Primorsky Aquarium on April 11.
The event is to include talks and workshops from the botanists and horticulturalists of the Primorsky Aquarium and the Botanical Garden-Institute of FEB RAS. The participants will have an opportunity to give their house plants as a present or to trade them. The winners of the themed quiz on our social media will receive their green prizes, like the exotic purple velvet plant, the walking iris, the remarkable polyscias with fluffy foliage, or the beautiful dendrobium orchid, grown in the hothouse of the Primorsky Aquarium.
You will learn how to care for orchids and other plants and how to make a modern floral bouquet. By use of a small glass bowl, you will be able to create a DIY plant terrarium replicating a desert landscape or a piece of jungle with vines and ferns. The event will also feature a mini-quiz to test your knowledge of plant secrets. The Green Market will begin and end with a themed tour of the Tropical Rain Forest Exhibit.
