2025 has been announced the Year of Humboldt Penguins at the Primorsky Aquarium, and it is gaining momentum now. One of the major events celebrating World Penguin Day will be held here in the Polar World exhibit on April 26.
Our bird keepers will reveal the secrets of penguins’ charm, focus on their abilities, and answer all questions from the visitors. The guests will be invited to leave their wishes on our holiday banner and to write congratulations on penguin footprints.
The visitors will learn about penguin species and their key features, explore the ways of differentiating an adult from a teenage penguin and discover many fun facts about these amazing birds.
The stars of the show are Humboldt penguins Spheniscus humboldti that reside at the Aquarium. Our first parcel of 14 birds settled into the Polar World exhibit in 2018. More than 40 chicks have been born since, and now the Primorsky Aquarium is home to almost 60 of these adorable feathered creatures that are always eager to share their positivity with all our guests.
