Amazing May holidays at Primorsky Aquarium

Monday, April 29 is officially announced a day-off in Russia, and the Primorsky Aquarium will be open on this date, with the usual working hours, 10:00 to 20:00. The demonstration of marine mammals’ skills will start at 11:00 and 15:00.

Moreover, the Dolphinarium is going to conduct presentations every day the Aquarium is open to the public starting from April 30. Visitors will be able to see marine mammals’ skills demonstrations at 11:00 and 15:00. In July and in August (July 1–August 30), the presentations will be carried out three times a day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, at 11:00, 15:00 and 18:00. On Tuesday through Thursday they will take place two times, at 11:00 and 15:00.

Please note that the Primorsky Aquarium will be open full day during both May holidays (April 28–May 1; May 9-May 12), 10:00 to 20:00.

Be sure to watch feedings of some of our animals. Shark and stingray feedings are carried out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 12:30 in the Underwater Tunnel.

In the Sea of Japan/East Sea exhibit, our guest can watch how the aquarists feed animals living in the touch pool (an open-topped fish tank) and learn about the fauna and flora of this sea on Tuesday and Friday from 14:00 to 14:30.

Visitors are invited to the Baikal Lake exhibit to meet our charming Baikal seals, Tuchka, Businka and Alf. Their feedings are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30, 13:00 and 16:00; and for Friday at 10:30, 13:00 and 15:00.

Penguins have their meals at 09:15, 14:00 and 18:30.

May holidays are great for spending time with your families and using it wisely. Peace! Labor! May! popular lectures will take place in the Mesozoic Era section of the Evolution of Life in the Ocean exhibit on May 5 at 13:00. Three lectures will look at how some animals use tools, how our immune system works and what ‘collective consciousness’ in insects mean. The lectures are included in the admission ticket.
