The Dolphinarium has prepared a special New Year presentation. Starting from December 25 and until February 1, the visitors will see a kind and heartwarming fairy tale. It combines skillful stunts and romantic paired dances, the artless humor of marine mammal trainers and a pinch of magic.

The tale tells how the fur seal Mario searches for Santa Claus and decorates a Christmas tree, how he and his companions from the Dolphinarium celebrate New Year, with the traditional Kremlin clock chimes and fireworks. Both young and old visitors will love the compelling twists of the plot. The truly moving story of friendship between a beluga whale and a boy is followed by the transformation of the walrus Misha into a magician who beautifully decorates a New Year tree with just a few gestures. This amazing presentation also includes a surprise from our dolphins who complete the program with a really spectacular performance.

“All the tricks done by our animals demonstrate their normal behaviors. We can only use their natural abilities, and these are not boundless,” says Anton Brykov, Head of the Marine Mammal Division. “For example, our famous Misha the walrus has learnt about 50 tricks during the 13 years spent at the Aquarium. Though the number of the tricks is limited, we try to look at them from a fresh perspective and to invent new stories or features for every walrus presentation. And the New Year program features Misha’s “magical powers”.

All visitors are welcome to enjoy our New Year fairy tale at the Primorsky Aquarium! The festive presentation will be shown on December 25 through February 1. Please note that from 2 to 8 January, the demonstration of marine mammals’ skills is conducted twice, at 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m.
