The Primorsky Aquarium is celebrating New Year by offering fun and immersive experiences for kids from January 2 to January 8, 2024. Young visitors will dive deep into the magical underwater realm of the Aquarium, solve the enigmatic disappearance of New Year ornaments, learn about the world of microorganisms and see with their own eyes that science and art can surely meld.
Now, we are presenting some holiday programs offered.
Little kids aged 3 to 6 are invited to participate in the “LittleOneArium” program, through which they will both learn about wildlife and develop their creativity. They will engage in expeditions, solve mysteries and meet amazing animals that call the Primorsky Aquarium home.
Older learners (age 7+) can try a “Paramecium’s Treasures” lab workshop. Microscopes will help them discover a hidden universe of tiny creatures and meet elegant Paramecium the ciliate. On top of that, they will make their own version of this protozoan from felt, paillettes, and beads.
Young environmentalists will enjoy a “Sea Eco Art” arts and crafts activity (age 7+), which features upcycling, the process of reusing old materials or items. Kids will learn fabric painting techniques and create a unique acrylic design on a piece of clothing.
An “I am a Microbiologist” lab workshop (age 9+) is a wonderous combination of art and science. Participants will know who this mysterious microbiologist is, if taming bacteria is possible and how to do it.
